Your questions about the garden.
Do you offer regular garden maintenance?
Yes. We set up a tailored schedule (monthly, fortnightly or seasonal) depending on garden size and the work involved: mowing, pruning, weeding, leaf collection. You get an annual plan and consolidated invoicing.
When can hedges be trimmed in Luxembourg?
In Luxembourg, hedge trimming is avoided between 1 March and 31 August to respect the bird nesting period (recommendation of the Administration de la nature et des forêts — the national nature and forestry agency). The two main windows are therefore late February and September to November. Structural pruning is best done in winter, outside of frost periods.
What do you do with green waste?
Depending on volume, we haul it to an accredited composting centre in Luxembourg (SIDOR — the regional waste authority, container parks, etc.) or leave it on site if you prefer. Disposal cost is itemised in the quote.
Can you fell a dangerous tree?
Yes for small and medium trees with open access. For larger specimens or trees in urban areas, sectional dismantling (using ropes or a cherry picker) is needed — we bring in a climbing arborist when required. Note: certain species or protected trees require commune authorisation.
Do you build terraces and paths?
Yes: terraces in wood, composite or natural stone, paths in paving, slabs or stabilised gravel. We handle earthworks, sub-base prep, edging and finishes.
When is the best time to plant?
For bare-root trees and shrubs, autumn (October to mid-December, outside frost) is the best season in Luxembourg: the plant roots in before spring growth restarts. Container plants can be planted nearly year-round, avoiding heatwaves and hard frost.
